Hiking Near Dunkeld and Birnam
We’re just a stone’s throw away from Dunkeld and Birnam and it’s in this area that we suggest you go hiking first. Go through the beautifully wooded Birnam Hill, reaching its top known as King’s Seat – an excellent viewpoint.
See the Hermitage – a breath-taking woodland, owned by the National Trust for Scotland – where you can walk alongside the banks of the River Braan. Pass by the iconic Birnam Oak mentioned in Shakespeare's Macbeth. Stroll along the longest river in Scotland – the River Tay. Hiking Near Pitlochry
How about hiking near Pitlochry? Take Loch Dunmore as a start point. Situated within Faskally Forest, the Loch is small but scenic with its timber footbridge and boat house. Continue to the Garry Bridge set over the beautiful River Garry where if you wish, you can enrich your experience by doing something extremely thrilling – bungee jumping and/or aqualining.
Finally, head to Queen’s View – probably Scotland’s most photographed view – overlooking Loch Tummel.
Hiking Near Kinloch Rannoch

The Birks of Aberfeldy Trail

It was made famous by the Scottish poet, Robert Burns with his poem ‘The Birks o’Aberfeldie.’ The route is a two-mile well-defined circular path on the outskirts of Aberfeldy that will walk you up a steep gorge. You’ll be able to enjoy stunning views of hanging waterfalls, mature mixed woodland, and of course, the Highland Perthshire wildlife.
