Get Wet in Perthshire

Other than the rain, there are some great opportunities to get wet and try some adrenaline-pumping watersports whilst enjoying the beauty of outdoor Perthshire! Here are a few suggestions that will help you to make a splash during your trip.

River Bugging

Cascade down the River Tay or Tummel in a river bug. This new craze came to us from New Zealand and basically allows you to tackle the river in an inflatable armchair, so you can look good and be comfy!

If you’re not afraid to get very wet, then this is a great way to explore the Perthshire river banks in a new and innovative way.

Cliff Jumping and Aqualining

Don’t worry, you won’t be expected to just jump off a cliff… there is more to it than that. Nae Limits looks after you every step of the way. You will receive confidence building sessions including wild swimming and training on how best to hit the water when you do jump in.

You will get the chance to brave the world’s first and only commercial slack line over water and make a splash from some of the best cliff jumps in the area.

Water Tubing

A lot like white water rafting but on an individual level. Each member of your group gets an up close and personal experience in their very own rubber ring. Bob down the river at a more peaceful pace. This experience is suitable for all capabilities and fully qualified guides will be with you as you twist and turn your way through Perthshire.

River Duckies

It may sound like something you would put in your bathtub, but there’s no relaxing in bubbles with this one. This raft and kayak thoroughbred provides the ultimate thrill for two. Create your own route as you take on the white water rapids of the River Tay. You don’t have to wait for a downpour to enjoy this experience as it runs all year round. Splash guarantees your enjoyment and their qualified guides will ensure your safety.

White Water Rafting

Perfect for large groups and families, share your experience as you tackle some of the best white water rapids in Perthshire. If you’ve never been before then it’s time to take the plunge.

Not only will you meander down the river but you will get the chance to play games, jump in or just sit back and admire the scenery, that is until you hit the rapids. After that? Well, hold on tight and enjoy the ride.

Canyoning

It’s one of the fastest growing sports in the UK and with good reason. This will get your blood pumping and we think that, if you’re brave enough to take the plunge, you’ll have the canyoning bug for good.

This epic experience will only be epic if you’ve got a head for heights but there are smaller levels to jump from. Swim under waterfalls and slide down river banks making memories that will last a lifetime.
