Why your next break should be a stay in a Perthshire cottage

Why your next break should be a stay in a Perthshire cottage

From hill walks to bike tracks to picture perfect views, Perthshire has it all. There are so many great ways to enjoy the countless things that Perthshire has to offer. One way is by hiring yourself a cottage in the countryside and escaping it all.

Here’s why we think you’ll love staying in your own cottage in the tranquil Perthshire countryside.

If you’re idea of hell is trekking up a hill and coming home to a tent, then what better way to make you happy than coming home to a comfy bed? If you book a stay in a Perthshire cottage, then you can get the best of both worlds.

A hot shower, a gorgeous kitchen and a warm bed awaits whilst still being right on nature’s doorstep. If you’re lucky and choose the right cottage there will even be some personal and homely touches that will make your stay that little bit more special.

One great thing about staying in a cottage is that they come in many different shapes and sizes, tents do as well but this is a bit more luxurious. If there is a large group of you, a cottage allows you to spend time together under the same roof whilst still being able to have your own space.

Less kit

Camping requires a large amount of planning and packing. Sleeping bags, waterproofing, the tent etc. A weekend break in a cottage is much different, all you need to pack is yourself and a few essential items (clothes, food and maybe a deck of cards) and you can be on your way.

Here at Kennacoil we are just a short journey from Dunkeld that has everything you could need whilst staying with us.

Family friendly

Cottages can be great for breaks with small children. Your children have the whole cottage to roam around in whilst you can be assured they can’t wonder past the threshold.

Even if your kids are older, a cottage is a great way to ensure that if they (or you) need a bit of time out there is more space to work with.

Visit all year round

Let’s face it, no one wants to stay in a tent in the chilly months of winter (sometimes even summer months aren’t exactly tropical here in the UK). So if you have the chance wouldn’t you rather stay somewhere with central heating, a cosy bed and even a fireplace?

Sounds good doesn’t it? That’s what’s great about cottages, in winter you can snuggle in the warm after a day of outdoor activities and in the summer you can enjoy a glass of wine or a G&T in the evening sunshine.

A Perthshire cottage is a great place to have your summer break and spend some time in the rolling hills and lush green land.

Kennacoil has two (soon to be three) gorgeous cottages ready for you to enjoy so book now and be sure you don’t miss out on the opportunity to stay, play and relax in Perthshire.
