Five fantastic Perthshire activities

Five fantastic Perthshire activities

Not only does Perthshire have beautiful rolling hills and stunning scenery, it is also home to hundreds of activities that cater to everyone’s taste.

Adventure lovers, sightseers, adrenaline junkies, bird watchers and of course hill walkers, there is simply not enough time in a week to see and participate in all of the amazing activities here in Perthshire. Here are five for you to enjoy.

Woodland adventures

Faskally Enchanted Forest is a beautiful woodland walk with a twist. Surrounded by stunning scenery, the walk is open at night from the end of September till the end of October and it’s a magical experience.

Not only does the woodland create a spectacular show but you may also find kingfishers, herons and goldeneye ducks in the trees!

Off road adventures

For the thrill seekers out there Perthshire Off Road Driving Centre is just a short distance from Kennacoil. Take a drive on the wild side and challenge yourself to test your limits through mud, water and hills!

The centre offers a range of vehicles including Land Rovers, quad bikes, rally karting and much more. The most exciting part of this experience is the ‘ultimate off road challenge’ where you challenge yourself through five different driving events.

Outdoor adventures

Outdoor Explore gives you the full outdoor experience. Adventures include kayak tours, open water swimming and paddle courses around the beautiful nearby lochs, rated from easy to moderate difficulty levels.

If you prefer land activities, there’s archery where you can test your accuracy with a crossbow.

Arty adventures

Whether it’s a rainy day or you just prefer the indoors, the Jardine Gallery & Workshop is the place to be.

With its own art gallery of handmade sculptures, ceramic art and paintings, the Jardine doesn’t stop there. Why not get involved in a workshop creating your own masterpiece?

Entertainment adventures

Perth Concert Hall is home to a variety of shows and events that will be perfect for the whole family. From pantomimes and musicals to music events and exhibitions, you are sure to find something that caters to the whole audience.

If you want to be part of the experience you can also get involved as the hall also runs various workshops and projects.

That was just a small selection of what Perth has to offer, if you’re feeling even more adventurous, try a bungee jump at Highland Fling Bungee or enjoy white water rafting and more with our friends at Nae Limits.
