Escape the city and visit Perthshire this Autumn

Everyone needs to take a little break from the city every once in a while. If you’re looking to de-stress this Autumn then a visit to Perthshire could be exactly what you need.

Living in a city can be stressful, fast-paced and leave you with very little time to yourself. There’s so much going on and it can leave you feeling exhausted. Escaping to the Perthshire countryside is the perfect way to reenergise yourself and take a step back from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Besides admiring the beautiful scenery and taking advantage of the number of amazing hiking routes in the area, there’s so much to look forward to in Perthshire this Autumn.

If you want to try something a little different you can take part in the ‘Spirit of Scone – Twilight Illuminations” this Halloween. Between October 26th and 31st you can visit Scone Palace and experience an eerie illuminated tour of the gardens, maze and graveyard as well as a ghost storytelling session.

If you’d like to experience some traditional Scottish music and culture then on October 28th you can attend the Glenfiddich Piping Championships and Fiddling Championships. Both events are hosted at Blair Castle only around half an hour away from Kennacoil and a visit to the 13th century castle is a great experience in itself.

If you’re really looking to relax and recharge your batteries then a walk-through Tay Forrest Park is the ideal way to do it. The park is a great place to visit any time of year but in the Autumn months the warm colours of the changing leaves is a beautiful sight not to be missed.

A great way to experience the Perthshire countryside is in your very own glamping pod. As the colder nights draw in you can curl up with a book in a warm and cosy pod and still have all the benefits of camping - not to mention access to a shower!

Or if you’re part of a larger group, up to six of you can stay in the Kennacoil Farm Cottage which has its own wood-burning stove and unforgettable views of the Perthshire hills.

If you want to recharge your batteries this autumn then come visit us at Kennacoil for your own little getaway.
